Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Applied Business, Taxation and Economics Research (JABTER) firmly rejects all forms of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, and publication duplication. All manuscripts that enter this journal will go through a strict similarity check process.

  1. Maximum Similarity Tolerance: Submitted manuscripts must have a maximum text similarity rate of 25% overall and do not include direct citations and bibliographies.
  2. Detection Tools Used: Journal managers use standardized plagiarism checker software, namely Turnitin or Plagiarism Checker X, to detect text similarities in each incoming manuscript.
  3. Stages of Examination:
  1. Pre-Screening: Every new manuscript received by the Editorial Board will be immediately checked for similarity before being sent to a peer-reviewer.
  2. Follow-up:

-  If the level of similarity exceeds the limit of the provisions or is indicated to be heavily plagiarized, the manuscript will be immediately rejected without going through a further review process.

-  If minor but reasonable similarities are found (e.g. in the research methods section), the writer will be asked to revise and re-paraphrase (re-write).

  1. Author's Responsibility: The author is fully responsible for the authenticity of the submitted manuscript. By submitting the manuscript, the author declares that the manuscript is an original work and has never been published in any media or publisher.
