The Influence of Financial Literacy and Lifestyle on Management Finance Generation Z in Belopa District, Luwu Regency

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of financial literacy and lifestyle on the financial management of Generation Z in Belopa District, Luwu Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The population in this study is Generation Z domiciled in Belopa District, with a sample of 98 respondents determined using the Slovin formula and simple random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale, then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results of the study indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on the financial management of Generation Z. In addition, lifestyle also has a positive and significant effect on financial management. The results of the simultaneous test show that financial literacy and lifestyle together have a significant effect on financial management, with a coefficient of determination of 54.3%. This finding indicates that Generation Z's financial management is influenced by the level of financial understanding and lifestyle patterns they live. Therefore, improving financial literacy and controlling lifestyle according to financial capabilities are important in forming effective financial management.
